Petrovaradin, Ortanovci – The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirovi, today visited the construction sites of a high-speed railway in Petrovaradin and Ortanovci.

He said from here that the dynamics of the works must be strengthened.

“I visited the works on the Belgrade – Novi Sad section and these are the biggest railway works of the last decades. It will be the first high-speed railway in Serbia. From October next year we will finally be able to sit in Belgrade, go to Novi Sad, see the play and let’s go back, “the minister told Tanjug.

At the Petrovaradin train station, the Minister attended the laying of the upper floor package, consisting of thresholds.

During his visit to the construction sites, that is, the route of the high-speed railroad to Ortanovac in two places, he was in conversation with the workers and representative companies that were hired.

The minister also passed through one of the tunnel conduits through which high-speed trains will pass next year.

In Ortanovac, the Minister held a working meeting with the dominions of the RD International director for Serbia, Mansurbek Sultanov, and the general director of Serbian Railway Infrastructure, Neboja Urlan.

“We demand that the dynamics be strengthened. That the work be introduced in three shifts. What was promised to the president a few months ago must be fulfilled. And we are going to insist on that. There are many challenges, but I am convinced that our partners in RD- and can overcome them “, said.

RD International is building a viaduct in the blue part of the Danube and the Ortanovci tunnel, which will have two conduits for the needs of a high-speed line in which the trains will have a total length of 2.2 kilometers at a speed of 200 kilometers per hour.

The company claims that the tunnel’s availability is 95 percent and that commissioning is scheduled for the end of next year.

The availability of the Ortanovac railway viaduct, in which the works have been completed on the 103 pillars and 117 of the 118 spans, is 99.9 percent, according to the RDI.

This company is also rebuilding the Stara Pazova – Novi Sad railway, where a second track is being built to increase the speed of the trains to the expected 200 kilometers per hour.
