The rector of the University of Belgrade, Ivanka Popović, said today that the epidemiological situation is worrying, that the number of infected is expected to increase, but also that “teaching in the faculties is definitely underway”.
“Right now, since there is a mixed type of teaching, we will only adjust how much the ‘open’ or ‘closed’ faculty can be, but the teaching is definitely underway,” Popovic told reporters in Belgrade, where he is participating in the conference. “Cooperation between Serbia and the EU: creating opportunities to improve education”.
He added that everything possible will be done so that students can study with quality.
The rector said that the University of Belgrade received periodic reports from the Student Center and that she believed that measures had been applied in student residences to suppress the spread of the virus.
He pointed out that in that sense, the most important thing is how the students and everyone else will behave.
