Sharac came to the attention of the world public when he was arrested in Italy for the alleged theft of a luxury jewelry store in Milan. It is suspected that he entered the jewelry store together with Uroš Ivković, 30, in September 2016, where he asked the saleswoman to show him the jewelry.

When he got ready to return them to the safe, Šarac caught up with her, knocked her over, and tied her hands, after which Ivković joined him, and in the end they both walked out the front door.

They were arrested after the saleswoman told the police that given her Croatian origin, she understood the word “wait”, so the Italian police significantly narrowed the search, for which they were arrested in early 2017.

Video of the robbery shows how Aleksandar first entered the jewelry store as a buyer, with no indication that there might have been a robbery. The saleswoman goes to the room where the jewels are kept, but Aleksandar also follows her, grabs her by the neck and throws her on the floor.

Then he ties her mouth, and then another man enters, protecting the guard. They put on gloves and pack large amounts of jewelry in their bags. Aleksandar, along with Uroš Ivković, was arrested for that robbery, because they stole jewelry worth hundreds of thousands of euros, the Italian media wrote at the time.
