Yesterday in Novi Sad, according to the number of new infected, the most difficult day since the beginning of the epidemic was registered. However, the city government does not intend to declare a state of emergency and says: in addition to the new measures adopted, it is not necessary.
The Vojvodina Public Health Institute assesses the current epidemiological situation in the province as extraordinary with a greater tendency to worsen.
956 new cases of infection were registered in Vojvodina, with Novi Sad leading the way with 463 new cases. The Prime Minister of the provincial government, Igor Mirojević, has milder symptoms of coronavirus.
A record number of exams in health centers: 700 in the last 24 hours, and a greater number were infected. So far, there have been at most 400 visits per day. At the moment, 301 people are treated at KC Vojvodina, 19 of them with mechanical ventilation.
“I suppose we will have very difficult days at the end of November, I hope that we enter a calmer phase, that we see results and that people come to their senses, if I may say so,” said Novi Sad Mayor Miloš Vučević.
And the call of the President of the Provincial Government last week to declare a state of emergency was answered in the municipality of Temerin, in Becej and Vrbas.
