The public call was published today on the website of the Ministry of Commerce, Tourism and Telecommunications. For this, 1.46 billion dinars will be allocated and the funds determined by the program will be assigned on a non-refundable basis.

“We have recognized the need to support hoteliers in the city, given that in the first half of the year the inflow of foreign currency from foreign guests decreased significantly. The condition for exercising the right to assistance is that hoteliers do not reduce the number of of employees by more than 10 percent. ” “Full employment in this sector will be maintained and hoteliers will be able to get through this difficult period,” Mali explained.
The minister specified that the public invitation is open until September 15 and that hoteliers will receive the money in the first week of October at the latest.

Along with the public invitation, a list of local self-government units in whose area hotels are eligible for grants was also published.
“Hotels in the city have been almost completely empty since the start of the pandemic, unlike hotels in the mountains, spas and other tourist destinations. This is another moment where the state shows its will and strength to help the economy and citizens, because we ensure their survival until the state can and wants to be a partner of the economy, all thanks to the difficult measures that have been implemented since 2014 ” said the finance minister.
He said that the application process is very simple, as was the case with other economic measures previously adopted by the Government, and that the approved subsidy funds will be paid to users in special accounts in dinars opened at the Treasury.
The Finance Minister added that he was proud that unemployment in the second quarter of this year was at the historic level of 7.3 percent, and explained that this measure, among others, is a guarantee that jobs will be maintained.
Let’s not forget that we pay three minimum wages, we postpone the payment of taxes and salary contributions, we pay 100 euros to all adult citizens, and we also pay 60 percent of the minimum for two months. In addition to those benefits, we also provide liquidity loans and a guarantee scheme. , and the total state assistance to the economy and citizens in the previous period was around 5.8 billion euros, ”said Mali.
He recalled that the state reserved 2.6 billion dinars for agricultural production, as well as a one-time aid of 4,000 dinars to retirees, and that the salaries of all health workers were increased by 10 percent.
“Our economy must not stop, it is necessary to fight even more in the market and invest in production. With a positive attitude, as well as with state support, especially for the sectors that are most threatened, there is no winter for the Serbian economy,” Mali concluded.
