Problems on Google servers around the world, YouTube and Gmail not working

After an unprecedented crash of nearly an hour, Google’s apps and platforms are on the mend and getting back to work. Not including the browser itself, email from Gmail, Maps, Google Drive, as well as the YouTube platform did not work.
