One of Pristina’s main streets, named after former US President Bill Clinton, was blocked after police were informed that a suspicious suitcase had been detected.
The Kosovo police checked the suitcase, it was searched by demining units that also included special dogs, but it turned out that there were no explosive devices, as suspected, reports “Koha”.
The news of “Koha” was confirmed by the police spokeswoman, Flora Ahmeti.
Part of the street is closed to traffic for over an hour and will only be released after a detailed inspection of the scene.
– Around 10:30 we received information that there was a suspicious suitcase on Bill Clinton Street. The Kosovo police teams are in place, it was announced from the so-called Kosovo Police.
All of this is happening before the visit of President Trump’s special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Richard Grenel.
