Bački Monoštar or as the locals call it “Village of the Seven Danubes” is the only place in Serbia.

It is located in the immediate vicinity of Croatia and Hungary with about 2,700 inhabitants, mostly Shocks, and there are also Serbs, Roma, Hungarians and Germans.

They say they live in harmony and have a common goal, to make life as pleasant as possible for everyone in the village. There are up to five different citizen associations, which carry out various activities that include culture, tourism, cultural heritage, sports, hunting and fishing.

Some of the events they organize are “Bodrog Fest”, Fair of cakes and agricultural products, Fijakerijada, Regeneracija Dunava, SFRY Rakijada. Although small, no one ever gets bored in this town.

It can be rightly said that this is one of the most interesting places in Serbia, as confirmed by the upcoming visit of Prince Albert II of Monaco, who is currently in Serbia.
