On the occasion of the opening of the new covid hospital in Batajnica, Brnabic said that it literally saved people’s lives, adding that during the pandemic, new hospitals were only built in China and Russia to receive crowns from positive patients.
Brnabic told “Happy” TV that the fact that two new hospitals were built in four months is a great pride, but also the success of the whole of Serbia and an indicator of how much Serbia can do.
– It is incredible that we come out of the fight against the crown stronger than before. In the economic sense, our economy will end 2020 with the best results in the whole of Europe – Brnabić pointed out and recalled that “before 2012, all the Western Balkan countries had higher salaries and pensions than us”.
He added that Serbia will emerge from the current health crisis with a large number of new laboratories with the most modern equipment.
Speaking of vaccines, he stated that everything will be done as soon as possible and that there is a wide range, and that the vaccines will be free.
He also said vaccines will not be mandatory, but people will be appealed to receive them.
Brnabic called it “inadmissible” for someone to say that there is no freedom for the media in Serbia or that someone is putting pressure on the judiciary.
– If you can do all that, don’t just read in the progress reports (on EU accession) that there is no press freedom and pressure – said Brnabić, adding that criticism of the state’s response to the crisis health are “populist and political assessments.”
