The vice president of the Popular Party and the commissioner for Belgrade, Zdravko Ponos, said that the opposition will have a chance to win the elections if the electoral conditions are regular.

Then everything will depend on us and not on the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. The elections will not be uncertain as long as the electoral conditions are as abnormal as June 21, and the matter will change if the conditions are normal or more or less normal, Ponos told RTS, the Popular Party announced.

Ponos said he was not a candidate for mayor of Belgrade, but was given the task of preparing the Belgrade part of the People’s Party organization for the elections if the party participates in them, because it is too late to prepare for the day. before the battle.

We are preparing as if we were going to the polls, but we do not rule out the possibility of a boycott if there are no conditions for the elections, he explained.

Our conditions are known and they are the same that we asked for the June 21 elections, mainly the media image: the conversation I am having now for RTS is a step in the right direction and it would be good if the opposition had the opportunity to say something. one of the most important conditions, Ponos said.

Ponos points out that the electoral list of the ruling party should not be headed by the president again, and that it would be good if the elections were separated.

Ponos affirmed that the establishment of special committees of the People’s Party and the Freedom and Justice Party in the Belgrade Assembly does not mean that there will be no joint participation in the elections.
