Price kovid hospital that doesn’t fit – editorial comment

[ad_1]

“Some announced that the price per square meter was 2,000 euros. I guess that’s where people start for themselves. The price is 1,171 euros per square meter, “Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić told RTS the day before yesterday, referring to the article in Danas about the price of the newly opened hospital in Batajnica, entitled” We paid 2,000 euros per square meter to Kovid hospital ” .

Kovid hospital price that does not fit 1

The president added that no one but obviously would have thought about being included in the price of the hospital during the pandemic, and that the state could have come out a little cheaper, but then the construction would have lasted two years.

The president said all that, he simply did not say how he arrived at this figure of 1,171 euros, nor did the journalist ask him that.

And although he did help him by citing a figure of up to 2,000 euros per square meter, he did not read to him or to the viewers where that figure came from, nor did he ask the president which part of the bill was incorrect.

Of course, it did not occur to the president himself to talk about it himself.

Because, if he had spoken, he would have had to say what mathematics lowers the price of a hospital that amounts to more than four billion dinars with an area of 18,000 square meters to 1,171 euros per square meter.

Because, when four billion are divided by 18,000 and calculated at the exchange rate of 118 dinars per euro, the price of 1,883 euros per square meter was obtained.

And the hospital cost more than four billion.

Or maybe it’s best to let the president speak:

“The president of Serbia declared today that the state has invested just over four billion dinars in the construction of a new kovid hospital in Batajnica, while more than two billion dinars have been invested in a kovid facility under construction in Krusevac “(October 1, 2020, Beta).

“Covering an area of 18,000 square meters, the new Batajnica hospital will be the most important and largest hospital for the treatment of covid patients” (Ministry of Defense, September 7, 2020).

“He said that the budget rebalancing, the second in a row this year, in addition to the completion and equipping of two covid hospitals in Batajnica and Krusevac, for which nine billion is expected” (B92 / Tanjug on Siniša Mali in the National Assembly , November 10). 2020).

Four billion are for Batajnica, two for Krusevac and three for teams.

So what we had: According to Aleksandar Vučić, the Batajnica hospital costs more than four billion dinars and, according to the assertions of the Defense Ministry, it covers an area of 18,000 square meters.

Only the president knows how to get the price of 1,171 euros per square meter from those two figures, and not 1,883 euros.

It is a pity that there is no journalist who asks you this.

Yes, we agree with the president.

It is truly inhumane for someone in the midst of this pandemic to be included in the price of a hospital for people suffering from kovida 19. Both inhuman and criminal.

Just who?
