Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar said that the Government of Serbia had adopted new measures in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus, on the recommendation of the Crisis Staff, and that, among other things, they meant shortening the working day to 6 the afternoon in all restaurants, cafes, bars and shopping centers. He mentioned that pharmacies, gas stations and “those places that are not at risk” will continue to operate.

The minister also said that the use of the mask indoors is mandatory, but also outdoors, in places where contact cannot be avoided or where there would be more people than prescribed, such as pedestrian areas or crossings.

All public gatherings are also prohibited, Loncar said, noting that the measures will take effect on Tuesday morning and will last for 10 days.

And all that remains to function must be fulfilled with the principle of one person for every 4m2, he emphasized.

Another measure is to allow everyone who can to work from home.

“This will avoid contacts in work units and will also ease city transport,” says Lončar.

He adds that the number of vehicles in public transport will increase.

The Minister also emphasizes that there will be a strict control of all measures, self-isolation and quarantine.
