Veljko Belivuk, better known as Velja Nevolja, was brought to the Belgrade police for an informative conversation around 12 am today, in order, according to unofficial information, to tell the Serbian investigative bodies everything that knows about the attempt to liquidate him. a week ago in Montenegro.
Marko Miljković Mare was detained with Belivuk at Nikola Tesla Airport, as well as members of his security who came to meet them at the airport.
It should be recalled that the Montenegrin media announced today that on 22 January the liquidation of Veljko Belivuk and Marko Miljković in Montenegro was prevented. Miljković and Belivuk were allegedly guests of Radoje Zvicer, leader of the Kavač clan, in Montenegro. The plan was to shoot them while they were in line to check tickets at the Tivat airport building.
Unofficial information from the police indicates that Belivuk is the leader of a new criminal group, to which numerous criminal acts are attributed, as well as his connection with the “Kavac clan”. As far as is known, these suspicions have not yet led to criminal proceedings.
Belivuk first attracted public attention in 2016, when he attacked FC Partizan manager Miloš Vazura and members of his security with Darko Ristić. The criminal report filed by the police against Belivuk, said that the defendants first verbally attacked Vazura while he was coming to work, and then a fight ensued. Vazura managed to escape. The attackers brutally beat a member of security and the driver.
The suspects were identified through video from stadium cameras, which were released shortly after the attack.
At the hearing at the First Basic Prosecutor’s Office, Belivuk admitted that he participated in the incident. He made a plea deal with the prosecution and was sentenced to one year of house arrest.
One of the Partizan fans’ leaders also sat in the dock for assisting in the murder of Vlastimir Milosevic in January 2017. Although he was initially identified as the direct perpetrator of the murder, Belivuk is accused of helping an unknown author by stealing license plates from a car and affixing them to the one used during the murder. After the evidentiary process, he was relieved of responsibility.
At the time of Milosevic’s assassination, Belivuk was supposed to be in the prison of the house where he was convicted of beating members of the security of the FC Partizan director. However, he was at liberty as the verdict did not go into effect.
Belivuk has been convicted several times for violent behavior and serious injuries. He was a close friend and collaborator of Aleksandar Stanković named Sale Mutavi, who was assassinated in October 2016. Stankovic, by the way, was convicted as the leader of a group that engaged in drug trafficking, but never served his sentence.
