In the last 24 hours in Serbia, another 56 people died as a result of coronavirus infection, and the number of confirmed cases of infection is 6,557.
According to the website of the Ministry of Health, 15,697 people were examined in the same period.
8,209 people were hospitalized and 283 patients were on ventilators, Beta reports.
Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic in Serbia, 2,005 people have died and the death rate to date is 0.89.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, 1,915,643 people have been tested and 226,209 of them have been confirmed for the virus.
Most of the new patients are still in Belgrade
In the last 24 hours, another 6,557 people fell ill with the coronavirus in Serbia, and the highest number of infected remains 1,583 in Belgrade.
They are followed by Novi Sad with 475, Kragujevac with 303 and Kraljevo with 238 new patients.
Nis (180), Vranje (140), Valjevo (131), Subotica (127), Cacak (121), Pancevo (120) and Uzice (100) have fewer than 200 new patients, Tanjug reports.
98 new cases were confirmed in Sabac, 93 in Leskovac, 77 in Smederevo, 76 in Velika Plana and Zrenjanin and 75 in Prokuplje.
In other cities, fewer than 70 new cases were registered.
