For Milivoje L. (50), from Gradiška, on suspicion of killing Strahinja Stojanović on September 13 in New Belgrade, placing and activating an explosive device under the victim’s car, an international arrest warrant has been issued and the police are looking for him. This “experienced terrorist”, who has the citizenship of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, was arrested two decades ago for placing explosives in a house in the Banja Luka area.

Even before the police identified Milivoje L. it was speculated that Stojanović’s killer came from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Furthermore, prior to official police confirmation of the suspect, information was “leaked” that the attacker was filmed on cameras and that the police are investigating a mysterious cyclist who was filmed making a phone call near the crime scene.

“This is a very skilled terrorist who obviously understands the handling of explosive devices,” says our police interlocutor, adding that the suspect was wrong because he forgot that Belgrade was covered by thousands of cameras. “When the police connect the recordings from one place to another and detect a suspicious person, they can easily find out who it is later through operational work,” says our interlocutor.

Police say the suspect is Milivoje L. On the morning of September 13, he rode an electric bicycle from his apartment in Vracar to an underground garage in New Belgrade, where he placed an improvised explosive device in Stojanovic’s car. Later, while riding his bike, he remotely activated a bomb over the phone. Following the identification of the attacker, the Belgrade police broke in and searched the apartment where he was staying while he was in the capital.

Our police interlocutor says that the most dangerous thing in this case is that the killer transported the explosive device from Vracar’s apartment to New Belgrade. “At one point, the bomb was moving through the busiest streets of the city,” says our source.

It adds that the suspect likely “visited” the victim’s car several times before placing the explosive device. “He had to know which position in the vehicle was best suited to do what he was getting paid for. And they paid him to kill only Strahinja Stojanović with an explosive device ”, says our interlocutor.

There have been cases of car explosions in Belgrade before, which have upset the public. Two years ago, Siniša Milić, also known as Boske, was killed in the Autokomanda in Belgrade, when a bomb exploded under his car. A plastic explosive, a destructive C-4, is believed to have been placed under his “Toyota.”

According to unofficial information, the killers followed Milic from a nearby restaurant and the planted device was activated via a mobile phone. The detonation occurred at the moment when the car stopped due to traffic lights, that is, when fewer people were near it and when it was estimated that there would be no accidental victims in the explosion. The murder of Siniša Milić Bosket has not yet been solved.

Police tell us that people who plant bombs under cars can be called urban terrorists. “More people are involved in the whole process of training their bombing project. First, certain people buy means such as explosives, a clock mechanism, a transmitter, a special mobile phone that has an application that can remotely activate a bomb. ”Says our interlocutor.

Until the 2000s, the manufacture and placement of explosive devices was mainly done by people who became “experts” in the field because they had previously worked in the police and military forces. In these services, they are also trained to handle explosives.

“But it’s an old theme, because these people are now teenagers. Milivoje L.” who is suspected of killing Stojanovic, is 50 years old and most likely learned that ‘trade’ when he saw and dated people who were members of the paramilitary forces and vigilantes “, says our interlocutor and concludes that the new generation of bombers easily learns through the Internet, where almost everything is available.
