Russian Ambassador to the UN Vasily Nebezja harshly warned Pristina Provisional Institutions Foreign Minister Melissa Haradinaj Stubla at today’s UN Security Council session that she will be excluded from the next meeting if Kosovo symbols are displayed.
“The conditions under which Kosovo representatives can participate in Security Council sessions are clearly established,” said the Russian ambassador, who chairs the UN Security Council, reports Tanjug.
Nebenzja protested because in the online inclusion in the session of the representative of Pristina, the flag of the so-called Kosovo.
The Russian ambassador, who currently chairs the UN Security Council, said that it was inadmissible to violate the rules of participation of the so-called Kosovo in the sessions of the UN Security Council.
“Again on the screen we see the attributes of the so-called Statehood of Kosovo,” said the ambassador.
“We remind you that the rules of participation in the sessions when it comes to the representatives of Kosovo have been adopted in the Security Council and must be respected.” “Furthermore, I want to say, as the representative of Russia, that in this way our consent to the invitation to Kosovo to participate in the next session is being questioned,” said Ambassador Nebenzja.
