Today, shortly after 1 pm, SNV President Milorad Pupovac was verbally assaulted in Glina during a tour of the earthquake-ravaged city and surrounding villages.
During the walk through the city, on three occasions, groups of young people insulted him, called him a thief, cursed his mother, greeted him with an ustasha salute, saying – kill a Serb.
There were a dozen young people in a group, who then left in a van and a car with Split plates.
– These are the days of solidarity in which Europe, our neighboring countries and all of us in Croatia come together to help the injured Banja, Glina and Petrinja and all the other settlements and cities in the Sisak-Moslavina county and neighboring counties such as Karlovac. People who come here to help, and then yell at someone to kill him because he is Serbian or greet him with an Ustasha salute, they don’t understand what this country needs. These people help in one thing and retaliate in another. We will not pay attention to that. These people don’t know what they do, they don’t know what they believe, these people are insulting those who came with the same job that they came, and that is being close to this city and these people, this region, the poor and afflicted part of Croatia . countries – Milorad Pupovac commented for the Jutarnji list.
He adds that it does not affect him personally because “he now has a higher duty than to pay attention to people who have been put in the wrong place by someone and have planted the wrong message in their heads.”
