If Branislav Tiodorović had asked him, everyone who played “kovid kolo” at the Stefan Nemanja monument in Belgrade the day before yesterday would probably have been prosecuted. The same day that this epidemiologist and member of the Crisis Staff stated that violations of anti-epidemic measures should be prosecuted under the Penal Code, a protest was held in the capital against those same measures. The video of the car being played in Sava Square, which ended the rally on Saturday, provoked numerous negative comments on social media, which is understandable when you consider that hospitals are full, new strains of the corona virus are swarming and that doctors are in. “red zones” fall from work.
At the same time, the scheduled meeting was announced via social media as a “simultaneous global popular protest against the Kovid dictatorship”, actually held on the same day in the cities of Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Montenegro. .. But, the Belgrade meeting grew in thematic confusion, so that, according to the agencies, in addition to banners against epidemiological measures, messages against migrants were also noticed, they shouted “We will not give sanctuaries”, songs about Kosovo were played on the loudspeakers, and some speakers insulted the LGBT population and the media, opposing globalism and the Rio Tinto investigation in Radjevina and Jadra.
Officials and doctors joined in condemning the meeting, which took place despite the ban on gathering more than five people, so Dr. Aleksandar Stijačić from the ambulance told RTS:
“We died in the ER and all the other doctors. Honestly, this car game, forcing grudges and jokes, I don’t know what it’s for. Everyone who played could come to the Infectious Disease Clinic to watch poor people work. , and the Emergency Center that receives other patients, they are checked, as if we were making a war movie, it is a disaster, it seems, it has nothing to do with medicine in peacetime. We are all in space suits, all of us the clinics in Belgrade are kovid, except for the Emergency Center and the Military Medical Academy, we transport patients through Serbia, we take them to Kruševac, Smederevo, there are no more places. This is a tragic situation that loses all possibility of finding a solution. “
A similar position was expressed by the minister and crisis staff member, Darija Kisić Tepavčević, who told TV Prva that these days we have two parallel worlds: citizens who are in hospitals and those who are on the street who go out, pass while they play. a round and do not respect the measurements.
“At first, there were people who said that this disease did not exist, that it was just the flu. Even today we can hear such statements. However, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t know someone who was sick, was in the hospital or passed away, “he said.
The mayor of Belgrade, Zoran Radojicic, also reacted, assessing that the scene in Sava Square is difficult to explain, while the deputy director of the Nis Clinical Center, Radmilo Jankovic, evaluated that it was about playing “Russian roulette alive” .
“Our intensive care unit (KC Nis) is almost full: 60 patients, in Krusevac 40. Never that much. The number of intubated is huge, and this will not stop,” Janković told RTS, adding that existing measures should reinforce.
It should be remembered that Branislav Tiodorović estimated that the fine for not wearing masks inside should be 50,000 dinars, and that all those who violate the anti-epidemic measures should be held criminally responsible and that the prosecution and the court should decide on this. He recalled that according to the Penal Code, imprisonment is also possible. Meanwhile, the media are announcing that it is most likely that a decision will be made in today’s session of the Crisis Team on the extension of the duration of the existing measures. On the eve of the session, Prime Minister Ana Brnabić met yesterday with the medical part of that body. As Tanjug reported, the effect of the above measures was discussed, and the conclusion on the matter will be presented to all crisis staff in today’s session.
