The prosecution notes that at the beginning of September they received a criminal complaint lodged by the company “Južna Morava dva” Niš, and that they are acting on that complaint.
– The case is in the phase of gathering the necessary information, and N. METRO. is suspected of having committed the crime of illegal fishing, for which a prison sentence of 3 years is prescribed – they say, among other things, in the indictment.
As we learned, the criminal plaintiff presented various pieces of evidence, including video footage of the entire action of catching one of the largest fish ever caught in Toplica.
By the way, in mid-August on the Toplica River, in the part of the flow through Prokuplje downstream from the railway bridge, the fisherman N. METRO. After an alleged fight that lasted about 40 minutes, he managed to catch and remove a catfish measuring 2.26 meters, weighing 67 kilograms.
– Regardless of the fact that I have strong accessories, that I have experience, it was a very fierce fight. The depth did not exceed one meter, but the nut was strong because the water had entered from the rains of the previous days. Fishermen claim that although Toplica is recognizable by this type of fish, this is one of the largest specimens ever caught.
By the way, catfish is a very common fish in the Toplica River, and in previous years there were cases when large specimens were caught, but even the oldest citizens of Prokuplje do not remember that such a large fish was ever caught.
