KRALJEVO – A man died in the waiting room of the Department of Infectious Diseases in Kraljevo this morning, and as the director of the General Hospital “Studenica” Dr. Zoran Mrvić said, a man came with a very difficult clinical picture.

Mrvić pointed out to Tanjug that the deceased man was admitted to the ambulance as soon as he started work and that the biggest problem is that patients call late.

“Many times we made an appeal not to wait, but to come for an examination immediately. That is why we are doing a greater number of checks, to record the deteriorations in time,” said Mrvić.

He points out that people do not die from waiting in the ambulance, but from the worsening of their health due to the coronavirus infection.

“All patients are screened, and those urgent, priority cases are received on the other side of the line,” says Dr. Mrvić.

In that regard, he added, that a few days ago they brought a woman from Vrnjačka Banja who was not breathing, and claims that the resuscitation was carried out, but unfortunately without success.

According to Dr. Mrvić, 131 examinations were carried out in the hospital on Saturday and up to 200 on Friday.

Eight medical teams work until 10 p.m., said Dr. Mrvić.

One of the patients who was in the waiting room together with the deceased stated that “the man just fell” and added that the doctors took him in immediately.

By the way, the situation in the Kraljevo territory is still difficult when it comes to the coronavirus epidemic, about 600 people are tested daily and the number of examinations in both kovid clinics, in the hospital and in the health center , it is around 500 per day.

About 115 patients were admitted to the hospital and all have a severe clinical picture.

Since the beginning of the epidemic in the territory of the city of Ibar until yesterday, according to data from the Emergency Situations Headquarters in Kraljevo, 7,257 people tested positive for coronavirus in the laboratory, and 100 people died as a result of the virus.
