Referring to data from the Office of Statistics of the Republic, the newspaper reported that 10,023 people died in July, 1,317 more than in January and about 900 more than in February.
“In the first five months of this year, there were 1,360 fewer deaths than in the same period last year. From January 1 to June 1 of this year, 43,244 people died and in the same period last year, 44,604 people. “It must be borne in mind that these regions have the largest clinical centers in which they are treated and the highest number of people die, which is why the highest number of mortality is recorded,” Gordana Bjelobrk, head of the Department of Demography of the Office of Statistics of the Republic.
He added that the data for the current year are preliminary and that it is about registered deaths and not total deaths.
The data also shows that 35,210 babies were born in the first seven months, which is 626 fewer than in the same period last year, meaning that 1.7 percent fewer babies were born and 1.6 percent died. more people than last year.
