Podgorica – In separate talks with nominated prime minister Zdravko Krivokapic, as a condition of all future deals, Andrija Mandic and Milan Knezevic requested that the Religious Freedom Law be repealed before the government is formed and that the state of Montenegro signs a basic agreement with the Synod. We were told that the same request was made to Krivokapic by the leader of the Serbian New Democracy (Nova), Andrija Mandic.
Nebojsa Medojevic, one of the leaders of the Democratic Front (DF), did not respond to the conversation with Krivokapic.
“I will speak to Krivokapic when he becomes prime minister. For now, he is only our coalition’s candidate for that position. He has the support for the election of our five deputies. We will support the government, but we will be its correctors in parliament and in the government itself if we participate in it, “Medojević told our newspaper.” We will not overthrow the government, but we will not be silent when we see that something is not right.
He added that “there are almost no unclear problems” between them and Krivokapic.
No one doubts that Krivokapic will succeed in forming a government, for whose leadership Mandic, Knezevic and Medojevic appointed him. After the talks yesterday and the day before yesterday with the future prime minister, the three announced that they would support the government, and one of them said for our newspaper:
“At Dajbaba monastery in early September, we supported Krivokapic as prime minister-designate, and he supported us for key government positions.”
Krivokapić also spoke with the leader of the Socialist People’s Party, Vladimir Joković, United Montenegro Goran Danilović, and the right-wing of Montenegro, Marko Milačić. He is expected to continue talks with other members of the For the Future of Montenegro coalition, and then with the leaders of the Democrats and URA. Krivokapic is expected to speak to representatives of national minorities in the coming days.
For now, not only the names of potential ministers are being kept secret, but also the departments that the coalition partners are seeking. Krivokapic is believed to have already compiled a broader list of people that he plans to include in the narrower and wider circle of government, and that they are “experts with academic degrees, but without any experience in solving numerous problems that the future government should. deal”.
