That decision, for which 72 council members voted, practically means that the translation of his book “International Economics” by Dominique Salvatore is plagiarism. The Scientific-Teaching Council also proposed a measure of public reprimand, and according to the procedure, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Prof. Dr. Branislav Boricic should pronounce that measure within 15 days.

– In the next two days, I will write an explanation that will go in the direction of issuing a public reprimand, and those decisions will be delivered to the parties in the procedure who have the right to appeal to the University Ethics Committee – said Professor Boricic for our work and confirmed that the NNV teachers voted Professor Popović’s non-academic behavior.

Issuing a public reprimand leads to the loss of the opportunity to access management positions at the college or university.

TWO AUTHORS AGAIN

AFTER the decision of the Scientific-Teaching Council of the Faculty of Economics, the question of the infringement of the copyright of the late Professor Stojan Babić will be opened, and his name will appear again on the list of translators of the textbook “International Economics “.

By the way, as previously determined by the Expert Commission, prof. When publishing the companion edition of the international economics textbook, Popović took more than 150 pages or 43 percent of the text of the previous version, whose translator is the late Professor Stojan Babić, without mentioning his name. The first edition of the book was translated together by the two.

The report was confirmed by the Faculty Ethics Commission, which stated that it could not state with certainty that there was plagiarism, but noted that there was non-academic behavior when translating the supplemented edition of the 2018 textbook and suggested issuing a public reprimand .

Aleksandar Jaksic, the applicant to determine non-academic behavior, tells us that the professors at the Faculty of Economics have demonstrated what a real faculty looks like and how the integrity of the institution is protected from dishonest people. Danica Popović previously noted that the allegations against her were unfounded and that it was a matter of political persecution.
