Nikola M. (21) from Banatski Brestovac was arrested yesterday on suspicion of brutally beating and then raping his acquaintance Slobodan P. (19) from Bela Crkva.
For complicity in this monstrous act, the hands of Belocrkvanin Milan N. (21), in whose house everything happened at night between Monday and Tuesday, were also handcuffed.
According to information from “Novosti”, the three friends bought alcohol together on the fateful night and went to the dilapidated house in Milan, which is in the courtyard of an abandoned building in the center of Bela Crkva. At one point, Nikola M. began to beat Slobodan with a stick in a visibly drunk state, because he refused to have sex, after which he raped him.
Another suspect, Milan N., who turned himself in to the police, told investigators that he allegedly tried to arrest Nikola, but was beaten himself.
Although it all happened in the courtyard where some 40 other people live, no one heard Slobodan’s screams, as music was allegedly being played at full volume. The young man went to the local health center with serious bodily injuries to seek medical help, where he was transferred. rushed to Vršac hospital. There, he was found to have injuries to his head and back, and a cast was placed on his broken fist.
The doctors, ex officio, reported everything to the police, who questioned the victim. He then filed a complaint against two friends for rape. The suspects were detained for up to 48 hours and will be taken to the Superior Prosecutor of Pancevo with a criminal complaint.

Just three years ago, a close relative of Milan N., in whose home the crime took place, out of sheer insanity killed his fellow citizen Jon Mezimka and tried to rape his friend. He got mad, supposedly, because Jon didn’t give him a cigarette, and after the crime he went to a pub.
