According to our information, this supplement, which will be given to a total of 1.7 million pensioners, will not be paid with a pension check, but will be paid to pensioners as special income at the end of December. A source from “Nemanjina 11” states that these days the exact date of payment will be known and that the money for this income has been provided.
– Analysis has shown that there are funds in the budget to pay 5,000 dinars to each pensioner. It is their New Year’s gift, so even in this year of crisis due to the coronary virus pandemic, they will not renounce the practice that has been present since 2016. The money of about 85 million euros has been contributed and these days will transfer to the account of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund – affirms the interlocutor.
Recall that during 2016 and 2017, the one-time support to pensioners was also paid on the eve of the New Year holidays, and then each pensioner received 5,000 dinars. Older people also received financial assistance of 3,000 dinars in December 2018, and that year the government increased pensions in the range of five to 22.5 percent.
New increase in pensions from January
All pensioners should expect a linear increase in income of 5.9 percent from the January pension. After the increase, the average pension will increase from the current 27,769 dinars to 29,407 dinars, or 1,638 dinars.
Practically, from 2021, instead of 10,000 dinars of pension, pensioners will receive about 600 more dinars, while those with higher incomes (more than 100,000) will have an increase of at least 6,300 dinars.
Pensions will grow next year according to the “Swiss formula”, which means adjusting the income of senior citizens with 50 percent inflation and 50 percent growth in median wages, and the Serbian government has announced a new model from 2022 that would allow even greater growth. 400 euros until 2025.
