After the liturgy and the service in the Cathedral, the coffin was transferred to the Temple of Saint Sava.

13:08 – Next to the scaffold of the temple of San Sava, on which the coffin with the remains of the late Serbian patriarch Irinej was placed around noon, the reading of the Gospel began, which will last uninterrupted until Sunday at 09:00: 00, when a requiem liturgy will be served.

12:27 PM – A small memorial service is taking place and then the priests will read the Holy Gospel on stage until the Requiem liturgy.

11:59 In the Temple, a coffin with the earthly remains of Patriarch Irinej was placed on a flower stand. Out of respect for epidemiological measures, few people are inside the sanctuary and a small memorial service will begin soon.

11:37 – The body of Patriarch Irinej was transferred to the Temple of San Sava, where it was received by Bishop Stefan, the vicar bishop of the patriarch and the elder of the Temple of San Sava. The believers are in front of the temple, as well as members of the Guard, the Serbian army and the police.

The bells rang in the temple.

After receiving the earthly remains of the patriarch in front of the Patriarchate and taking them to the Patriarchal Palace, the members of the RS Army brought the coffin to the Cathedral, where the liturgy takes place.

After the liturgy, the coffin from the Cathedral was transferred to the Church of San Sava, where everything is ready for its arrival.

The chest will be placed on a flower-covered pedestal, and the Gospel will be placed in front of it.

As we have reported, a small memorial service will be held at the Temple, followed by the priests reading the Holy Gospel on the scaffold until the Requiem liturgy.

The coffin, as announced, will be covered with a mandia, a small omophorion and a miter (no scepter).
