The first phase of vaccination, according to the Secretary of State for the Ministry of Health, should include users of nursing homes and their employees, as well as health workers.

“The skeleton of the plan will not change, that is, the pillar of the plan for the whole year, but it is difficult to predict in advance for the whole year what awaits us. The plan is very dynamic and will have the elasticity that we can depending on the epidemiological situation of the country “. we are changing some situations in the warehouse, ”said Mirsad Đerlek.

Tanja Jovanovic, a member of the crisis staff, says she was not involved in the decisions about how the immunization plan will work and explains that between 50 and 70 percent of the population should be immune, and that is acquired by vaccination or infection natural.

“In this first phase, in which the priorities are the elderly and the intensive care health workers of the covid hospitals, if and how the immunization process itself will begin, I do not decide on that, as our advisory body does not decide, but you said there is a National Committee for the Coordination of the Immunization Process, so perhaps it is better to ask them this question, ”said Jovanovic.

The only thing that is known for sure so far is that Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and Labor Minister Darija Kisić Tepavčević will be the first to receive the Pajzer vaccine. regardless of whether they belong to any priority group. According to the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, they will receive the vaccine so that citizens believe in vaccination.

“In any case, we will leave some of us for another vaccine, someone for a third, to support each vaccine and to be able to tell people that anyone approved by our health authorities is a good vaccine,” he stressed. Vucic.

When you add the number of nursing home users, employees and healthcare workers, you get about 50,000 people, and according to the Drug Agency 4,875 doses have reached Serbia, which means that about 2,400 people should be vaccinated.
