Petar Đurić, whose father Ljubiša passed away from the crown, filed a lawsuit against Zemun Hospital because, as he said today, they did not have a respirator, so his father should have been rushed to another hospital, but “there was no cooperation from the system” and “he was allowed to fight alone, whether he would survive or not.”

“It is inhumane. The system did not exist at all, it could have happened and probably has happened to many patients,” Đurić told reporters, stating that he seeks justice and considers himself the voice of citizens who have experienced injustice.

He called for a televised duel between the president, prime minister, health minister and others who “tried to discredit him with falsehoods” when he informed the public about his case during protests this year in Belgrade.

“Then let’s see in direct contact who is telling us the truth,” Đurić said.

He said that he would fight until the truth won and told the citizens that it was necessary to get rid of fear.
