In today’s session, the Government of Serbia approved the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Protection of the Population against Infectious Diseases, because it is necessary to ensure strict compliance with the measures to protect the health and life of citizens , preserve the health system and the country’s economy.
The reforms to the law provide for the introduction of personal protection measures and greater responsibility of citizens, for whose implementation, in addition to health, are responsible for the communal inspection and the communal militia, both for natural and legal persons.
The amount of fines for not wearing masks inside and for not respecting physical distance will remain unchanged (5,000 dinars for individuals and 50,000 to 300,000 for legal entities), but their application will be faster and more efficient.
The proposal of this law must be adopted by the deputies of the new convocation of the Assembly of Serbia.
At the session, the decision was made to pay a one-time financial aid in the amount of 10,000 dinars to the employees of the health institutions of the Plan of the health institutions network.
