President Aleksandar Vučić attends the “Hoop 2020” counter-terrorism tactical demonstration exercise in front of the “Serbia” Palace in Belgrade.
In addition to Vučić, Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin will also attend the exercises.
EXERCISE COURSE
The first simulation was an attack by a terrorist group in a public place from two directions. After receiving information about the attack, the Command and Operations Center sent general police patrols and six intervention units. An intervention unit quickly arrived at the scene of the attack and a shootout with terrorists began. The ambulance team arrives immediately.
An “Airbus h145” helicopter also arrives, reporting on the movement of terrorists towards units on the ground and illuminating the path of the attackers.
Elsewhere, the terrorists take a city bus with passengers and issue an ultimatum to stop the police action.
The third phase of the exercise begins with the introduction of special forces. Members of the SAJ and the Gendarmerie arrive with the armored fighting vehicles “Milos” and “Lazar”.
Terrorists are being attacked by snipers all the time.
Then, the resolution of the hostage crisis in the public facility by members of the SAJ and the Gendarmerie and the search for fugitive terrorists were shown.
In the last phase of the exercise, members of the Interior Ministry used a robot to remove an explosive device and a drone to reconnoitre the terrain.
In the end, President Vučić addressed the exercise participants.
“Very good,” said Vučić.
The President highlighted that he was satisfied with the exercise and that the members of the Ministry of the Interior did a great job:
– Serbia must be safe and defeat organized crime – said Vučić after the exercise.

More than 250 members of the Helicopter Unit, Gendarmerie, Intervention Unit, special unit, but also members of the Belgrade Police Department and fire and rescue units participated in the exercise.
