The president of the People’s Liberation Movement – Slobodari, Miroslav Parović, stated that the police leaders informed the public that the police carried out a highly professional investigation into the brutal beating of a guy in Novi Sad without shame that the suspect probably managed to get out from Serbia.

“It is not a problem for the police leaders who began the search for the suspect only 20 days after the event,” Parović said in a statement.

Parovic said it was “that politician” who published images of the brutal beating with the aim of informing the Serbian public that “society and the state are falling into a savagery in which criminal gangs connected to the government decide on life or death”.

“Popularly speaking, chasing the fox, I expelled the wolf because when the public stood up and put pressure on the institutions, it became visible that there was no doubt in this case of cover-up and cover-up of the crime, which confirmed the justification of my political act of pressure on the government, “he said. Parovic.

He said it was symptomatic that, as he put it, the “high-level professionals” who lead the police did not feel the need to contact him and ask where his recordings came from and why he published them publicly.

“I’m also sure they didn’t assess the threat to my safety and the safety of my family, because as ‘professionals’ they know very well what kind of aspen I touched,” Parović said.

For all that, he said, to facilitate the investigation of this and other serious crimes that did not shed light, he decided to surrender.

“Let them arrest me when they have not yet arrested the criminals,” he said.

Police Director Vladimir Rebić and Novi Sad Police Administration Head Milorad Šušnjić said that the police had been working to clarify the case in Novi Sad since August 24 and that there was no cover-up, but that it was being evaluated whether details should be published in the interest of the investigation.

In a written statement, Šušnjić also claimed that “they are not only inaccurate, but also malicious and biased attempts by certain politicians and media outlets to mislead the public by claiming that the police wanted to hide something.”
