Today, the President of the Union of Doctors and Pharmacists of Serbia, Rade Panić, filed a lawsuit against the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, as a citizen, due to, as he himself claimed, damage to reputation and parties.
Panic told reporters in front of Belgrade’s Second Court of First Instance that Vucic “at least twice” told falsehoods, accusing him of collapsing the healthcare system, but also of betraying the country.
“It hurts what Vučić said about me on RTS. It is a serious insult when someone accuses you of ruining the healthcare system. I have been fighting for justice my whole life and as an anesthesiologist I would have been abroad a long time ago if I wouldn’t have been a patriot, ”Panic said.
He called on the President of Serbia to prove the charges in court, stating that the lawsuit he filed was “an act of fighting for civil rights and freedom of expression.
“If Vučić supports what he says, he will appear in court to prove what he said. I support the fact that everything I said about the situation in Novi Pazar is based on data from the field, and I am willing to prove it,” said the president of the Union of Physicians and Pharmacists of Serbia.
Members of the Free Serbia Assembly, including lawyer Bozo Prelevic and epidemiologist Zoran Radovanovic, supported Panic in front of the Second Basic Court building, who told reporters in a short speech that.

The president of the Union of Doctors and Pharmacists of Serbia warned at the end of November that the Serbian health system was “officially broken” due to a lack of hospital capacity for the accommodation of coronavirus patients.
Then Vučić reacted and said that he would have responded “brutally” to Panić if he had not been the president of the state.
“This way, I’ll just say it’s a shame,” Vucic said in Nis.
