After speaking with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, he noted that misunderstandings resulting from the meetings at the White House were overcome.

“This was a misunderstanding, which was harmonized. What was in Washington is over, we have to get over it and it’s over,” Ambassador Nabhan told Tanjug.

Today’s meeting with Vučić, he says, was one of a series of regular meetings with the president of Serbia.

“We talked about developing a friendship between Palestine and Serbia, which will gain in intensity in the near future,” Nabhan said, adding that they also discussed the situation in the Middle East.

He expressed his belief that the “strong friendship” between Serbia and Palestine cannot be broken, and that it will continue and become stronger.

As he stated, he expects the development of relations between the two countries in all directions.

“Vucic saluted the Palestinian president and the people and expressed assurances that Serbia will maintain its position in supporting the Palestinian people and their efforts to achieve an independent state,” he concluded.
