It is time to strengthen the controls and strengthen the measures, I think tomorrow is the time to introduce new measures, set them for a certain period, monitor the results and adapt to that, said the mayor of Belgrade, Prof. Dr. Zoran Radojicic for TV Prva.
He added that he hopes that responsible measures will be taken tomorrow at the Krza headquarters session, and reiterated that the city of Belgrade is ready to implement the measures that have been adopted as before.
– Tomorrow is the session of the crisis staff of the Republic and we will probably agree that some measures should be introduced. As a doctor, I always think about the need to preserve the health of the population and take care of the health system that must work, and we must all contribute to that. But as mayor, I am aware that there is no modern medicine without a functioning economy. That is why we must constantly try to find that balance, so that the economy continues to function. The situation is very serious, we must all take this moment seriously and everyone from their position must show personal responsibility – said Radojicic.
He added that he sensitizes people through punishment and control, and stated that last night the teams were in the field and carried out 93 controls, of which 60 in the catering facilities, while seven were found to be in violation and sanctions were drawn up. for fouls.
– It is definitely clear that at this time we must intensify the punishment of the arrogant who endanger their own health and the health of their families, but also the entire community. By overloading the health system, those responsible also get into trouble because when they go to the doctor they are all the same, both those who behave responsibly and those who do not adhere to the measures, said the mayor.
Radojicic pointed out that public transport is one of the points that carries its risks to all parts of the world, but that it is not crucial.
– Of course, transport must work and most citizens wear masks. The reform of the Law for the Protection of the Population against Infectious Diseases will increase the number of competent persons who will have the opportunity and the right to control and sanction. I hope that these measures will further affect the public transport situation and thus reduce the small number of people who do not wear masks in public transport vehicles. But public transport is not a key point when transmitting the virus, but parties, discos, places where more time is spent indoors without a mask – said Radojicic, adding that we must all give our contribution and act responsibly.
