OUR ENGINEERS WILL WORK FOR GERMAN: Initial of the contract between the two faculties and the company “Brose”

The business and technical cooperation agreement with the representatives of this company, Roman Strahos and Thomas Spangler, was signed by the deans of our higher education institutions, Prof. Dr. Radivoje Mitrović and prof. Dr. Milo Tomanović.

Before concluding the agreement, the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, spoke with the executive director of this prestigious company, Urlih Šrikel, who informed that the first phase of construction of the factory in Pancevo will be completed in 2021, and production will begin by the end of next year. He emphasized that collaboration with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering is of fundamental importance, since one of the Government’s goals is a deeper and more efficient connection of companies with the educational system and students.

– The objective and vision of the Government is to promote exactly this type of investment and the arrival of companies in Serbia that recognize not only a good market, but also the capacity and quality of the professional staff, which coincides with the economic and strategic priorities of the Government of Serbia. based on knowledge and innovations – noted Brnabić.

Aleksandar Simonović noted that the cooperation will include the improvement of education and training of staff for a high-tech company like Germany, as well as participation in development projects and scientific research.

– We are especially pleased with the fact that the company “Brose” is not only opening a production plant here, but also a development center, which will be developed with the help of our engineers and experts – said Simonović. – It is an indicator that we are training quality personnel in the world labor market. They are involved in the automotive industry, whose development direction is currently going as a new type: electric vehicles, but also classic models.

LOOKING FOR PROFESSIONAL STAFF

– Of a total of 1,100 workers that we will employ, 460 of them will have a university degree, which represents more than 40 percent of the total – said Shrikel. – In addition to the production plants, the factory will also have a department that will deal with development, so it is necessary to have qualified personnel for the production of hardware and software.
