One person died last night when a passenger train “Srbija Voza” collided with her on the Pozarevac-Stig line on the open line, the “Serbian Railway Infrastructure” announced.
The identity of the victim is not unknown for now.
According to the first information from the field, the accident occurred because the injured person was moving along the railroad, in the place where it is prohibited, the announcement says.
Members of the Ministry of the Interior, Ambulance and the Railway Commission for the Investigation of Emergency Events attended the scene.
Rail traffic on the Pozarevac – Stig part of the railway is currently interrupted.
“Serbian Railway Infrastructure” and “Serbian Train” express their sincere condolences to the family of the injured person, again warn that it is forbidden to ride on the railway and appeal to respect all regulations near the railway, in order to prevent such tragedies, the statement added.
