The man parked the car on the street and walked away from the car to do work for a few minutes. However, the two thieves returned immediately. One stood by the bar and looked to see if the man was coming back.
Another thief opened the car door, which the owner did not close. He quickly removed the envelope from the cassette and, as we found out unofficially, some 300,000 dinars were stolen. Apparently, the thieves keyed in the victim and followed where he put the money.
The fact that the police station is about fifty meters from the scene of the robbery, and that the police often pass this street, also shows how insolent the robbery was.
As we learned, the police took pictures in which the robbers’ faces were clearly visible. An intensive investigation is underway to find and arrest the perpetrators.
