DK (62) from Smederevo died, while his brother IK (58), a Belgrade resident, was seriously injured in a road accident that occurred around 2 pm today on the Belgrade-Niš highway, not far from the Malčanska loop.
The accident occurred when DK, driving a “Peugeot 206”, with the Smederevo license plate, lost control of the steering wheel for reasons not yet determined, causing the car to hit a protective fence, turn and then hit a metal bumper one more time. Due to the force of the impact, the vehicle was completely crushed, so the ambulance was assisted by firefighters, who pulled DK, who showed no signs of life, from the pile of crumpled metal.
His brother was transferred to the Emergency Center of the University Clinical Center in Nis for his diagnosis, and according to the first information, he has serious injuries, but his life is not in danger.
The police carried out an investigation, the cause of the accident is being determined and the competent prosecutor’s office was informed about the fact.
