For days, hot spots erupted in July, several municipalities followed with an emergency situation, and the number of new patients on the 26th of that month jumped to 467. “The correct numbers look for the correct measure and epidemiologists know it. And that is exactly why I wanted to do that text to see how inaccurate those numbers are, just to understand to what extent the epidemic is being taken lightly in our country” said the NIN journalist. and Sandra Petrušić.
The journalist who asked the institutes about the numbers believes that epidemiologists, who must make decisions based on them, do not ask such questions. He also asked about the number of tests performed. She determined that the number for the public was increasing, so if we look at all of July, we will see that at least one hundred thousand fewer tests were done. “These are tests that weren’t done or they were serological calls, rapid tests that shouldn’t have been done, especially under the conditions in which they were done,” said epidemiologist Zoran Radovanović.
