Belgrade is already the focus of the coronavirus, and the situation could soon get worse if we do not finally regain our reason.

On the buses, despite all the appeals, and even the threat of fines, a large number are still without masks, which was confirmed yesterday by reporters “Hello!” They must be closed, they indicate that we could have full hospitals in ten days.
In the public transport bus that the “Hello!” Reporters were in yesterday, several passengers were without masks on their faces and some of them relaxed so much that they even licked ice cream while driving. Those we find without masks are of all ages, from teenagers to fellow citizens over 60, and this image is present every day on all public transport lines.
However, it is not just city transportation that tops the bomb. That is to say, although according to the new decision of the crisis headquarters, the padlock in the catering and other facilities should be placed from 11 at night, many of them continue to operate after that time. They are mostly bakeries and fast food kiosks in front of which there are queues and crowds. Those who shop there do not wear masks or maintain the prescribed physical distance.
The culmination of irresponsibility is undoubtedly the open-air party that took place the day before yesterday in the very center of the city, where young people were crowding together.
Dr. Mirsad Đerlek, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Health, says “Hello!” That it is time for us to regain our senses. It calls on everyone to adhere to the protective measures.
No mask on the bus, private file
– The only way to protect ourselves from the coronavirus is to wear masks on public transport, in shops, shopping centers and other indoor spaces, but also outdoors if it is not possible to reach the appropriate physical distance. Since there is no cure for corona and the vaccine is still waiting for everyone, the only salvation is our epidemiological measures. Any irresponsibility will manifest itself in ten days. If we continue to have those who behave irresponsibly in this way, we will re-fill hospitals, says Dr. Djerlek.
He points out that a large number of citizens adhere to epidemiological measures, which has led Serbia to have a much lower number of new infections than many countries. However, he claims that the situation can easily change overnight if we do not understand the seriousness of the situation.
– The latest data indicates that 40 percent of patients are between 20 and 40 years old. Then they transmit the virus within the family, we call them super transmitters. Being young, they can have milder symptoms, but if they have someone in the family who is a chronic patient and they transmit the virus to them, they can have serious problems that require hospitalization and even connection to a respirator. By wearing masks, keeping physical distance, and washing our hands, we not only protect ourselves, but others as well, notes Dr. Djerlek.
So far, the measures in Belgrade have not been tightened
The Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesić, said yesterday that for now there are no plans to tighten the measures in the capital, stating that it is enough to respect the measures already prescribed.
– This means that we must wear a mask on public transport and indoors. We wear a mask to protect ourselves and others. Otherwise, what is already happening in Europe will happen to us – said Vesić.
Strong protest for the lifting of the state of emergency in Novi Pazar
The Serbian Ministry of Health does not support the decision to lift the state of emergency in Novi Pazar, nor does Minister Zlatibor Loncar personally, and asks the city headquarters to reconsider that decision, says the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Mirsad Djerlek. Emphasize for “Alo!” That the Ministry does not support the lifting of the state of emergency and relaxation in all those areas that were serious critical points in the previous peak.
