Todorov was behind the wheel of the BMW, and on Thursday offered to drive his colleague Marinković home after the shift ended because the bus had slipped away.
– Goran and Nikola have been working together for the last five years in an appliance store in Zajecar. Shortly before the accident, Goran called his wife and told her that their bus had run away. She said she would pick it up right away, however he replied that a colleague offered to pick it up. Then Goran’s father-in-law took the phone and told him not to disturb the boy, that he would pick him up, but he didn’t want to. Fate, what is it … If he had waited for his wife, if he had obeyed them, maybe he would be alive now – says an acquaintance of Marinković.

The Basic Public Ministry of Zajecar has ordered an investigation in order to determine all the circumstances of the accident that occurred when the BMW collided with the tanker. The scene at the crash site was terrifying and the BMW completely collapsed from the force of the impact.
– Only car wheels remain. It will be determined whether Nikola Todorov’s speeding or slippery road contributed to the accident – says an investigation source, adding that an extraordinary technical inspection of the truck driven by the Nis driver will be carried out.

– A dead mouth does not speak, it cannot defend itself. I know that he was a good and careful driver, he has been licensed for several years and has never committed the slightest offense – says a relative and continues:
– We learned about the tragedy through the media when we saw photos of a crashed BMW, that is, a license plate. We follow each other. Nikola wanted to make a colleague and a friend, get into trouble, and here you are … Now it turned out that it led to his death.

The car parts strewn across the road also testify to how fierce the collision was yesterday. Yesterday a candle burned at the scene of the tragedy, and inconsolable relatives commented that two younger lives were extinguished. – The tank that BMW crashed was carrying liquefied petroleum gas, but at the time of the accident it was empty, which is a great fortune. Yesterday, the firefighters also had to intervene – says the interlocutor.
