After a wrong turn, around 10 o’clock, Jovan K. (81) from Obrenovac found himself on the tram rails in the middle of the bridge. He was driving from the Čukarica side over a bridge about a kilometer long, almost to the New Belgrade side, when the car’s wheels hit the couplings.
As this old man explains for “Novosti”, on the way to Obrenovac, he entered Topcider. Hoping to get back in the desired direction, he made a mistake at the foot of the bridge and found himself on the rails.
– All the time I thought there would be a distraction somewhere. And then it was not possible to return. I drove until I fell into the canal. The car bounced and stopped. I don’t even know what happened. Here, now you take my leave – Jovan K. told us, visibly shocked.
“SPIDER” TOOK IT
TEAMS from JKP “Parking servisa” tried to lift the vehicle with a spider, due to the distance between the rails, because the track is separated by concrete fences, so access to the vehicles is impossible. As the “spider” leaned and swayed in an attempt to pick up the vehicle, Obrenovac’s was looking at his “Citroen Picasso.”

He also told us that before the wrong turn, he had another traffic accident, contact with another vehicle, of which he said he was not guilty:
– Shaken by this unpleasant event, I made another.
The same trafficker who intervened at that time “greeted” him on the bridge. The assembled streetcar drivers testify how surprised the policeman was, because the policeman, seeing the man from Obrenovac, said: “You again!”
