The president of the “Doors” movement, Bosko Obradovic, hopes that the new proclamation of that political option, called “System change – security for all”, will attract the attention of the public and voters, adopting ideas from both the left and the right. , which he believes are “artificially constructed”.
In an interview with the Nova.rs portal, he stated that the movement he leads is “close in many ways” to the conservative political organizations and Christian Democrats that are in power today in Austria, Germany, Poland and Hungary, and that Dveri is filling an “ideological gap” in Serbian. the political scene when it comes to “conservative, democratic and sovereign political options.”
“The issue of family or environmental protection in (Dveri) is an example of public policies that inherit the best of the ‘right’ and ‘left’ political traditions. It is true that we have placed great emphasis on ecology and that we consider ‘green patriotism’ to be an important part of national and civic consciousness and supreme patriotism, ”says Obradović.
Obradovic says that Dveri is not and cannot be a right in the Western sense of the concept, rejects the qualification that they are an extreme right, but advocates the preservation of “everything valuable in our tradition that contributes to maintaining the Serbian people, Serbian state and all its citizens in complex conditions. ” postmodern situations ”.
He also believes that environmental issues, although mostly related to the left, are “conservative par excellence”, and that they have taken a “programmatic step forward” in the direction of the “new democracy” with the proclamation.
“The gates remained coherent and principled in all their basic ideological and political views: family first, economic patriotism … the preservation of Kosovo and Metohija in Serbia, the skepticism of the EU, the protection of traditional and national values such as the Serbian language, the Cyrillic alphabet, souvenirs, national culture, “adds Obradović.
“Our insistence on participatory democracy and a greater involvement of citizens in deciding how to live direct democracy and more referendums at all levels, from the republic to the local, aroused the greatest interest.
