Obradović told Prva TV that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić made a mistake in his speech when he said he disagreed with the blackmail, but stated that he only wanted to calm tensions and resolve everything by speaking.

According to him, he started a strike to calm down and said that the path he took was “the path of fighting the government”, which he believes is justified.

“If the government is undemocratic, if it violates the Constitution, if it is in crime and corruption, if it has stifled the media, you, as the opposition, must oppose that,” Obradović said.

He said he saw that he was going in the wrong direction and “stopped on his own.”

According to him, postponing elections is necessary in the current situation, and he stated that electoral activities in most European countries were suspended due to the coronary virus pandemic.

“If the elections were not resumed after the lifting of the state of emergency, as indicated in the government decision when the state of emergency was imposed, they were not resumed for seven days. This means that they do not have to continue for the next six months They should be continued when the World Health Organization declares the end of the coronavirus pandemic, “Obradović said.

Obradovic began a hunger strike on Sunday in front of the Serbian Parliament after a press conference he held in that institution’s hall.

Therefore, he joined independent parliamentarian Miladin Sevarlic, who began a hunger strike this morning because, as he stated for the first half, he did not have the opportunity to win over parliamentarians in the Assembly to discuss violations of territorial integrity and sovereignty. of Serbia and the lack of respect for Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council.
