The president of the Dveri movement, Boško Obradović, and the vice president of the Freedom and Justice Party, Marinika Tepić, agreed tonight that the electoral conditions must be fought in a column, and that going to the polls must be agreed in the opposition , but certainly if it goes in multiple columns. there must be an agreement not to attack and keep the boxes together.
In the online debate “How to achieve democracy: establishing electoral conditions or changing the electoral system”, Obradović said that one should fight for electoral conditions in one column, and then sit down to watch the investigation and decide whether to go in one, two or more columns and that you should be pragmatic when going to the polls.
Tepic said that in that sense he absolutely agrees with Obradovic and that, regardless of whether they go in one, two or three columns, there must be unity around not attacking and keeping the ballot boxes.
Speaking about electoral conditions, Obradović said that the release of the media, the suspension of the official’s campaign and the separation of elections at different levels are important for a fair election.
He said that early elections should be requested at all levels at different times, but that the question is who will guarantee that the new electoral conditions are respected, and that in that sense a transitional government or a commission composed of both the government should be formed. as for the opposition.
Marinika Tepic said that the SAA does not agree with the technical government’s proposal, because that would leave a bitter taste of collaboration, but that a ministry must be created to prepare the elections and supervise the electoral process.
According to her, the minister would be delegated by the opposition, but would be an expert.
Obradović said that it was important for him to discuss the issue of electoral conditions in parallel with the issue of the electoral system and evaluated that a proportional electoral system with open lists would force candidates to run the race and that everyone would try to present their program and personality . promote the democratization of the political parties themselves, as well as allow the entry of figures outside the party.
“Currently we have groups of citizens that are not regulated and are in a legal vacuum. “Why don’t we give citizens’ groups full political capacity,” Obradović asked.
Tepic said that the opposition was right when it called for a boycott and that the government also learned a lesson from the elections, and that it was clear that it was a major inconvenience and a “move” from the looks of parliament and that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic He knew how to paint Parliament. what goes to the international community does not suit it either.
“I am sure that the electoral conditions will have to change. It is impossible not to change the electoral conditions because Aleksandar Vučić took a lesson in the June elections,” Tepić said, adding that the lesson was clear because this situation is unsustainable and that Vučić It does not suit him that the opposition does not go to the polls.
He expressed his belief that at least the minimum electoral conditions to exit would be obtained, but that if that does not happen, boycott is again an option.
When asked if he shares Marinika Tepic’s enthusiasm, Obradovic said that the boycott exposed the undemocratic system and that the government recognized it by shortening the mandate of the Serbian Assembly and Government. Bend down.
He said that “the boycott should be ruled out as an option,” but that the opposition must find a way to fight for electoral conditions.
When asked how the opposition plans to mobilize people to go to the polls, Tepic said that Belgrade is the biggest “reservoir” and that there is not much of a problem with press freedom and that Belgrade is “mature”, but when It is about parliamentary elections, the campaign must change strategically, because unlike the boycott campaign, when an active political campaign is launched, a different motivating campaign must be implemented.
Obradovic said that it would not be easy to surrender in the presidential elections and that the opposition can find a candidate like Zdravko Krivokapic in Montenegro, and that the parliamentary elections be organized earlier with certain conditions, and that before that the opposition must make several demands and ask to citizens demanding that these demands be met on the streets if necessary.
