Now everything is known down to the details of the new law: what the home quarantine means, how long it lasts, how much salary he receives while in it.

The reforms to the Law for the Protection of the Population against Infectious Diseases, which will toughen the sanction for non-compliance with the measures, entered into parliamentary proceedings, and also regulated in detail the notion of home quarantine. Now it will be known exactly who has the right to prescribe the quarantine, how long it lasts, how much salary the employees who have to stay in it receive and how much the parents of the children who must be quarantined up to 14 years have to take care of.

An epidemic of particular importance has been in force in Serbia since March 19.

The duration of home quarantine is determined during the maximum incubation period for a given infectious disease, starting from the time of the last exposure to the source of infection. The epidemiologist informs us about the duration.

The home quarantine measure can also be applied to passengers in international traffic entering the Republic of Serbia from countries with an unfavorable epidemiological situation.

Adequate compensation to employees

Employees who have been assigned a home quarantine measure, during the time spent in home quarantine, are entitled to adequate salary compensation, that is, salary, in accordance with the law, and the decision of the Sanitary inspector when determining the quarantine measure is also a certificate of inability to work. has a duration.

Solution for a child up to 14 years.

If the home quarantine measure is determined for a child under 14 years of age or a person who is unable to care for himself and the protection of his rights and interests, the decision is issued to the parent or guardian. For the parent, that is, the guardian of a preschool-age child or a person who must not be left unattended by law, the decision of the sanitary inspector referred to in paragraph 10 of this article also represents a certificate of incapacity to work while duration of the home quarantine measure determined by that decision. The Government will prescribe more detailed conditions and the way to determine the measure, the bodies, that is, the service in charge of control and the way to control compliance with the quarantine measure at home.

Communal militiamen issue a misdemeanor order

The amendments to the law also stipulate that the communal militia and communal inspectors issue a misdemeanor order for failure to comply with the prescribed measures to prevent the spread of kovida-19, for which sanitary inspectors are already authorized.

This means that the communal militia and the inspectors will be able to issue a foul order to citizens if they do not wear masks in the prescribed places, to pay a fine in the amount of 5,000 dinars, which they can pay reduced by half, for the amount of 2,500 dinars.
