The funeral protocol provides for the intervention of the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik. The funeral will be broadcast live on RTS Public Media Service.
The coffin with the body of the patriarch will be lowered into the crypt of the Temple of Saint Sava by the priests of Belgrade.
The schedule of the last farewell of the patriarch has been agreed today in the session of the Holy Synod. The program foresees that members of the Serbian army will take the remains of Irinej to the Patriarchate tomorrow at 8.30 and a half hour later to the Cathedral.
The Holy Liturgy in the Cathedral Church, scheduled for nine o’clock, will be served by Metropolitan Chrysostom with Bishops Jovan de Šumadija and David de Kruševac.
At 11.30 am, the coffin will be transferred from the Cathedral to the Temple of Saint Sava in Vracar, where it will be received by a line of soldiers and priests. An hour later, a small memorial service and other religious services were scheduled.
On the day of the funeral, Sunday at nine, a liturgy will be served that, with the exception of the Metropolitan of Dabro-Bosnia, will be presided over by all the bishops present. After the service, which is scheduled for 11:00, the archpriest will bid farewell to the patriarch on behalf of the priests of Belgrade.
