Teacher SM (41) from Zrenjanin was arrested on suspicion of having killed his wife BM (39) in front of her five-year-old daughter and neighbor. As we found out, she first stabbed her husband in the house, and when he ran out, she caught up with him and finished him off with two knives.
Moaning and screaming
Yesterday morning a family tragedy occurred at a family home in a settlement in Zrenjanin. By the way, SM is a former teacher in an elementary school.
– She first attacked her husband with a knife in the house while he was sleeping. He tried to escape and ran all bloody from the house to the street, but she caught up with him and ended up stabbing him in the neck and head. BM died from her injuries in the emergency center of the Zrenjanin hospital – says an investigation source.
Recently moved
As we discovered, BM was working as a programmer at a Zrenjanin company.
– They recently moved in and decorated this house. It is alleged that Stanislava had certain mental problems after giving birth. Whether that was exactly the case, we cannot say reliably, shocked neighbors said.

– I heard noises, moans and screams in the house next door for about eight hours. I went out to the patio. I saw a neighbor run out into the street and fall in the middle of the street. His wife chased after him, with two knives.
When he reached him, he stabbed him several times in the head and neck. I think he ended it then. Before falling to the ground, he begged not to. He yelled, “No, don’t do it for the boy!” Unfortunately, the boy looked at everything and cried – says MK and shows traces of blood on the street.
YOU SAY YOU KILLED HIM BECAUSE HE DRUGGED IT ?!
After the arrest, SM allegedly told the police that his wife was killed because he drugged her. “The investigation is ongoing,” said a source close to the investigation.
Then, he says, he lowered his knives in cold blood and entered the house.
– He took his daughter and the car keys. The neighbors stayed with her and took her keys. She reacted calmly and waited for the police. One of the neighbors took the boy and took him home. Later, the Center for Social Work took over the girl.
– They did not give the impression that they had problems in their marriage. What really happened is really terrible: one of the neighbors waved her hand in disbelief.

This street is mainly inhabited by younger people now. Some of them have recently moved. They bought and remodeled the houses. They are all peaceful and family people. That was the case with them too. Who would say that something like this can happen in our area? Say the locals of this area of Zrenjanin.
According to a local woman who did not want to introduce herself, SM quit several times and would go back to work after a while. According to the order of the Zrenjanin High Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect will be detained for up to 48 hours, after which she will be taken to the prosecutor with a criminal report.
