The rest of the contingent will work as General Staff officers in the KFOR General Staff in Pristina, it was announced from that military mission after the ceremony of raising the North Macedonian flag at the headquarters of the Western Regional Command, reports RTS.

The ceremony was attended by the commander of the forces in Kosovo, Major General Michele Risi.

He told the deployed troops that their effort would help strengthen ties and strengthen relations between North Macedonia and the other 26 members currently serving in the NATO-led KFOR mission.

A military contingent from North Macedonia, consisting of 44 members of the “Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu” barracks in Tetovo.

This unit is led by Captain Hristijan Dimčevski.

The KFOR command states that the contribution of members of the North Macedonian army to the KFOR mission in Kosovo will continue to increase during 2021. The plan is to increase the number of soldiers to more than 60 in the next six-month rotation. .
