Secretary of State for the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Jovanka Atanackovi, says the goal of the reform is to make the gas industry strong, big and strong and lead to better, but also cheaper, services for citizens.

Let us remember that this meeting was previously announced by the Minister of Mines and Energy, Zorana Mihajlovi, as a guest on TV Prva.

When asked if the removal of Duan Bajatovi, who currently runs Srbijagas, could be expected soon, he replied that it was all “potential”.

“I too can potentially be fired,” she said on the occasion.

This time, however, Jovanka Atanackovi told Tanjug in the Serbian Government that the meeting was an introduction to the realization of the government’s activities and conclusions.

He affirmed that the objective is that the companies that deal with the gas industry, Srbijagas, Transportgas and Distribucijagas, operate first in accordance with the Energy Law and other regulations, have licenses in accordance with the law and do that work as a activity of general interest. , he emphasizes, the most important thing for citizens.

“The objective is that the gas industry must move forward, it can no longer be in the part where there are no licenses, where some companies that are not certified carry out their activities,” Atanack said.

He points out that this is an obligation not only under the laws of Serbia, but also towards the Energy Community, which is why, he says, Serbia has recently undergone certain procedures before the Energy Community.

“This situation is no longer tolerable. The Deputy Prime Minister (Zorana Mihajlovi) and her team are working to implement this, to make the gas industry strong, strong and that everything we do leads to better service for citizens. , but also cheaper services, ”says Atanackovi.

He considers that through all the very clear reforms that Srbijagas, Transportgas and Distribucijagas will go through, the objective will be achieved, which are better conditions for the supply of gas and cheaper gas for citizens.

“The important thing and the message of the meeting for everyone is that no one can oppose, no one can prevent the implementation of the government’s decisions and no one will stand in the way,” Atanack said, stressing that government decisions must be traveling.

He says that the director of Srbijagas and other companies in the sector will come to the next meeting with their associates and that a government working group will be formed to monitor the implementation of the planned activities.

“We believe that all of this will be implemented. It is a task, and it is our duty as ministries to take care of energy. It is time that energy security, and as regards gas, is implemented in a way that will be much better for our citizens, “concluded Atanack.

The Deputy Energy Minister in charge of oil and gas, Saa Stojanovi, told Tanjug that it came as a surprise to him that Bajatovi arrived at today’s meeting without his associates, but said he had a justification that they are currently in the phase of realization and trajectory of the Balkans. Current.

“It is a big problem, they have many activities related to conversations and negotiations with the banks. In that sense, he did not apologize in any way, but explained why there was no possibility for him to come with associates,” said Stojanovi.

He stated that at today’s meeting the government plan, which Srbijagas received a few days ago, was discussed.

“In today’s meeting we discussed the plan itself, they asked for time to study it. They will deliver, as agreed in the meeting, associates and representatives of Srbijagas. This is a project and process that requires interaction and cannot be implemented unilaterally, ”said Stojanovi.

He stressed that no one can refuse to implement the government’s plan and that Bajatovi is aware that the government’s decision must be implemented.

During the day, it will present representatives for the government working group that will be formed next week, which will include representatives of the Republic’s Property Directorate, Cadastre, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Energy Agency, all those institutions that will implement and that they are different. ways within its powers in charge of monitoring the implementation of this process, “said Stojanovi.

He explained that the restructuring process is very complex and that the entire burden of implementation falls largely on the Srbijagas management.

“They are the ones who have to implement this plan and they are the ones who have to carry out the organization of people within their employees within the company, with responsibilities, so that the activities provided for in the plan can be carried out” Stojanovi said.

At the meeting, he said, they agreed that there is not much disagreement, and that the representatives of Srbijagas have no negative comments regarding such plans.

According to Stojanovi, what was the obligation for Srbijagas at the end of this year, and will surely be done for the first fortnight of January 2021, is the harmonization of all the founding acts of Srbijagas with the Public Companies Law and the decision they made in 2017, but they did not act. .

“They should do that in early January,” Stojanovi said, adding that for the next meeting, Srbijagas representatives should consider how to implement the Supervisory Board decisions to increase the founding capital in Transportgas.

This, he adds, will create conditions for certification at a later stage, and after obtaining the licenses, the transfer of assets to the new ownership structure of Transportgas.

“The deadlines are indisputable. None of us have the mandate, neither we nor Srbijagas, to question the government’s decision and conclusions. This is clear to everyone and he clearly told Bajatovi and came out with that conviction,” Stojanovi said.

He stated that he met with Bajatovi for the first time today and that they asked him to establish adequate communication in the relationships defined by the laws of ministries and public companies to solve all the challenges that the restructuring process brings.
